Electronic tachograph for rail-vehicles T-130P

INTENDED USE

The electronic tachograph T-130P measures and registers speed of a rail vehicle, current time and the distance covered by the vehicle, and registers two-state signals sent from the vehicle devices and mechanisms (e.g. dead-man.s handle, SHP, door closing and others). Moreover, the tachograph can generate signals of exceeding de-fined speeds. The signals can be used to control the vehicle suitable systems.

CONSTRUCTION - PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

The T-130P tachograph consists of a central processing unit, a speed converter that is mounted on the wheel hub and cab speed indicators installed in the driver field of vision. Pulses from the speed converter are converted by a microprocessor system into speed value taking into account the vehicle rail wheel diameter.

The central processing unit controls the cab speed indicators and produces two-state signals for control and signalling, e.g. exceeding defined threshold speeds.

All information is registered in a continuous way in an electronic memory card (EMC).

SYSTEM ELEMENTS

- TACHOGRAPH CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT

The tachograph central processing unit receives all information from the vehicle, i.e. a speed signal, two-state signals and information from the keyboard. This information is processed and recorded in the vehicle EMC (electronic memory card) and com-pared with the introduced limit values.

The tachograph central processing unit produces a digital signal for control of the cab speed indicators, and two-state signals, e.g. signalling of exceeding established threshold speeds for systems control.

The EMC card should be connected to the socket on the front board of the tacho-graph central processing unit before starting drive. The driver, after the card is switched on, enters his identification code. On the front board a display and a keyboard are installed. On the display, current time, speed and other information that is needed to make settings from the keyboard are displayed. From the keyboard can be entered the identification code, the internal clock time can be set, entered present value of the wheel diameter, train number, etc.

Some functions e.g. change of the wheel coefficient, change of threshold speeds, clearing of the distance meter are reserved only for service personnel and are not accessible for driver.

Each switching off of the EMC card or switching off of the tachograph supply is marked on the graph after reading out of the record. The EMC card makes it possible to record of 75 hours of operation. Before lapse of this time, the record is transferred by dispatcher to the archival memory by means of the interface connected to the computer. The EMC is cleared after record is archived and used for next record. Apart from the record in the EMC card, continuous registration is made in the central processing unit memory that can be read out in case of damage or loss of the EMC. In the central processing unit memory remains record from last 75 hours of operation that in a continuous way is replaced with new information.

- VEHICLE SPEED CONVERTER

The speed converter that is mounted to the vehicle hub produces pulses for control of the distance speed measurement. The converter is adapted to cooperation with central dog and eccentric one to couple with the wheel axle. The way of mounting and coupling with the axle can be adapted to the Buyer.s needs. The converter construction is adapted to rugged operating conditions that are in the place of its installation (heavy vibrations and impacts, direct influence of weather conditions).

- CAB SPEED INDICATOR

The cab speed indicator shows the vehicle current speed and is installed in the con-sole, in the driver.s field of view. It is equipped with a legible scale of readout range adapted to the vehicle type. Transmission between the central processing unit and speed indicators is by means of digital signals.

READOUT OF REGISTERED INFORMATION

Information recorded in the EMC memory can be read out by means of PC equipped with program and interface for connecting to the EMC. The program enables viewing of record at freely selected scale. On the computer screen can be reconstructed whole or any (stretched) fragment of the record made during drive. It makes it possible to define time, location on the road and speed with the accuracy it was defined during drive. It is possible to define the state of input signals SHP, dead-man.s handle, brake, etc. The point of the graph marked by operator activates description in the windows system in the lower part of the screen where the time (date: hour: minutes: seconds), speed and distance are displayed. The graph viewed on the screen can be printed.
